A Shopify-based DTC pet photo sock brand approached ZheSock in mid-2025 looking to switch from their existing print-on-demand vendor. The existing vendor had two structural problems: per-pair manufacturing cost of $8.50 (compressed their margin), and average production turnaround of 14 days (compressed their NPS).

We built a weekly batched production workflow:

  1. Shopify webhook delivers customer order JSON to our ERP each evening (Mon-Fri)
  2. Each Sunday night, batch is consolidated and queued for Monday production start
  3. Image QA team reviews each photo for resolution, background, and face clarity
  4. Failed images trigger automatic email back to the customer requesting a higher-quality photo
  5. Pre-press team generates sublimation print files in batches of 200
  6. Production runs Monday-Wednesday on dedicated dye sublimation lines
